Bietigheim-Bissingen (county of Ludwigsburg, Stuttgart region) is located in the state of Baden-Württemberg in the mid-section of the Neckar valley between the state capital Stuttgart and Heilbronn, not far from the confluence of the river Enz in the Neckar.
Bietigheim-Bissingen lies in the middle of the Neckar area, 25 km north-west from Stuttgart. Celts, Romans and Alemanni were located here in the town near the rivers Enz and Metter. Many architectural monuments are proof of that.

In Bietigheim, there are two train stations, the somewhat smaller train station in Ellental-Valley and the main train station in Bietigheim-Bissingen. From the Ellental-Valley you can ride from Stuttgart to Pforzheim and Heidelberg.
At the Bietigheim-Bissingen train station, you can travel quickly and easily to the city of Würzburg, Stuttgart main station, and the cities of Karlsruhe and Heidelberg.
